What Kind of Pass Do I Need?

Guided Private Tour

Private guided tours to any of our locations are good for 1 to 8 people. We will guide you to the location where you will have access to freshly blasted rock or freshly dug earth containing high quality products. Private tours can be booked for any day other than major US holidays and Sundays.

Guided Public Tours

Guided Public Tours are scheduled for various days at all of our locations and are open to all people. We will guide you to the location where you will have access to freshly blasted rock or freshly dug earth containing high quality products. Public tour passes can save you money if your travel plans works with our scheduled tours.

Prospector Pass

Prospector Passes are only available at the Topaz Dome location, and grants access to the rubble in specified areas where you can search for topaz from previous blasts.

How It Works

  1. Choose the location and then your pass and date if choosing a public tour
  2. Buy your pass and download a liability waiver from the online store. Waivers can also be signed on site.
  3. Public tours are set for specific dates. Private Tours can be scheduled for almost any date that suits your travel plans.
  4. Via email, you will receive directions and meeting times. A vehicle with clearance such as a pickup or SUV is recommended. Some sites require 4wd to access.
  5. Plan on being in the desert where there are no services. Foot wear for rocky surfaces are recommended.
  6. Tool kits are provided for public and private tours. Otherwise, a small sledge hammer and cold chisel work very well.
